1. I hereby acknowledge and affirm my voluntary participation in the SALOMON HONG KONG TRAIL SERIES ("the Event") entirely at my own risk and with full responsibility. I understand that the Organizer of this Event, sponsors, and associated individuals or organizations (including directors, employees, agents, contractors, race officials, medical staff, race director, security staff, helpers, or volunteers) shall not be held liable for any loss of life, injuries, property damage, economic loss, or consequential damages arising from accidents, mishaps, or any other occurrences related to or during the Event. This includes incidents that may take place before or after the Event, during preparation, while traveling to or from the Event, or in any other context connected to the Event. Furthermore, I agree to indemnify and reimburse the Organizer for any additional expenses or costs incurred as a result of my participation in this Event. I acknowledge that the Organizer holds the sole discretion and reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time, without prior notice.
2. By submitting my entry, I acknowledge that I have fully accepted and agreed to abide by all the Terms and Conditions of the Event, including the Official Rules as currently stipulated and any additional rules that may be introduced by the Organizer in the future.
3. I hereby verify that all information provided by myself and my teammate(s) in the registration form is true and accurate. I understand that any inaccuracies in the information provided are solely my responsibility, and the Organizer shall not be held liable for any loss or damages that may arise as a result of such inaccuracies.
4. I acknowledge and agree that all entries must be submitted before the designated registration deadline. Entry into the Event is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, and I understand that the Organizer retains the sole discretion to accept or reject any application for registration.
5. I acknowledge and consent to the Organizer's exclusive discretion and right to close the registration at any given time, irrespective of whether it occurs before or after the specified registration deadline, without prior notification.
6. I hereby confirm and agree to comply with the instructions provided by all individuals offering support and services during this Event. This includes directors, employees, agents, contractors, race officials, medical staff, race director, security staff, helpers, and volunteers (referred to as "Event Personnel"). I understand that if any Event Personnel requests me to do so, I must promptly retire from the race course or leave the event venue without delay.
7. I consent to presenting my identification, such as my Hong Kong identity card or passport, for verification purposes upon request.
8. I acknowledge and agree that the Organizer reserves the right to modify the program, rules, and regulations of this Event. I understand that the Organizer holds the sole discretion and has the final authority to make decisions in the event of any disputes concerning the rules and regulations of this Event.
9. I hereby acknowledge and consent to the Organizer's right to utilize, without the need for prior approval, compensation, or reference to any individual, including myself, any photograph, film, videotape, record, or other reproduction of my image, voice, and/or that of my teammates who participate in this Event and its associated activities. Such usage may occur in various forms of publicity material, media, publications, and websites, whether or not directly associated with this Event. This includes, but is not limited to, the Organizer's promotional activities.
10. I hereby consent to the Organizer's collection, storage, and use of my personal data, as defined in the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, provided by me on one or more forms, including electronic formats. This data will be utilized for the purpose of and in connection with this Event, which includes, but is not limited to, promotion and publicity of this Event and/or other events organized by the Organizer. I understand that such collection, storage, and use of my personal data are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
    
    Furthermore, I agree that the Organizer may disclose my personal data to its agents, successors, supporting Organizations, and other relevant parties for the purpose of or in connection with this Event. This includes, but is not limited to, the announcement of results, processing administrative tasks related to registration, participant identification, recording communication with participants, and any other lawful purposes as required, authorized, or permitted by applicable laws.
11. I hereby affirm that I am in a medically, mentally, and physically fit condition to participate in this Event. Additionally, I confirm that I have fulfilled all the anti-pandemic requirements specified for this Event. I acknowledge that the Organizer retains the right to prohibit and/or disqualify any individual who is known or suspected, by the Organizer, to be physically or mentally incapable of safely participating in the Event. I understand that any decision made by the Organizer in this regard shall be accepted promptly and without dispute by the respective individual.
12. The Organizer holds the exclusive authority and reserves the right to cancel or curtail the Event in the event of force majeure or any other circumstances beyond its control. Force majeure is defined as situations including, but not limited to, the Organizer's inability to fulfill its obligations, organize or conduct the Event due to occurrences such as fire, flood, earthquake, severe natural disasters, acts of God, protests, riots, civil disobedience, uprisings, marches, revolts, assemblies, demonstrations, occupations, commotions, mass gatherings, wars, acts of terrorism, insurrections, sabotage, epidemics, pandemics, including COVID-19 or other similar contagious diseases, government intervention, government prohibition, or the likelihood of such events or acts.
    
    Please note that no refunds will be issued for any event fees, charitable donations, or merchandise purchases under any circumstances.
13. In the event that the race is compelled to cancel due to weather conditions or circumstances beyond the control of the organizer, including force majeure, it is important to note that no refunds will be provided once the registration process has been completed. The organizer is committed to ensuring the smooth operation of the event and will make every effort to communicate any cancellations or changes to participants in a timely manner.
14. Once an applicant has successfully completed the registration process, it is important to note that all fees paid are non-refundable. Any subsequent registrations made by the same individual will also not be eligible for a refund. In the event that a participant delegates representation to another individual for the competition without proper authorization, both the participant and the substitute will be disqualified. Moreover, they will not be permitted to partake in any future conference activities.
15. The organizer retains discretionary authority and reserves the right to nullify the results of any individual who contravenes, violates, or fails to comply with any rules set forth by the organizer. Participants who are disqualified as a result of such violations will not be eligible for a refund of their registration fees.
